Somaliland votes
The people of Somaliland go to the polls today. Today?s elections are the third since its breakaway from Somalia.
The country has over the years tried to gain international recognition as a self-governing state.

Nigerian Governor Rearrested
The Bayelsa Governor on bail on charges of money laundering in London has been rearrested.
Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was rearrested for fear that he might skip the country to avoid prosecution. Under Nigerian law he enjoys immunity from prosecution while in office. The governor?s arrest came after almost 1 million pounds were recovered from his plush west London apartment.

Brett Kebble gunned down
A prominent South African businessman and close ally of the ruling African National Congress, Bret Kebble has been killed in a suspected assassination attack. Kebble who was 42 and a pioneer of South Africa?s Black Econonmic Empowerment was shot while in his car Tuesday night. The suspected gunmen opened fire on his vehicle killing him instantly.
Meanwhile South Africa?s deputy president, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka says that the incident should not be used as an excuse to not to invest in South Africa. She described Kebble as a great South African.
