On Friday, the African Union celebrated its sixth year of existence. he celebrations, Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi called on African nations to unite and form a single country similar to the United States of America.

The South African PRESIDENT Thabo Mbeki and former Deputy President Jacob Zuma have been ordered to suspend their bitter feud.
The order has been given by ruling ANC leaders amid fears of a split within the party. The relationship between these two politicians eroded after Zuma was fired on corruption charges.

The highway Africa media conference is currently under way in the city of Grahamstown.
About 450 delegates and Journalists from across Africa are attending the four day conference.
Highway Africa seeks to promote the use of new media and communication technologies within the continent.

Camel racing will soon become an annual event on the Botswana sports calendar.
A new stadium dedicated to the sport is being built at the Tsamana camel park in Gabarone.
