Dear participants, I agree entirely with Felicia's analysis and suggestions. We have a peculiar trend in Eastern Nigeria which the Federal Government in collaboration with UNICEF are trying to correct. There, young boys are drafted into lucrative trading as apprentices which leads to massive school drop out, while the girls are encouraged to complete their education to the best of their ability. This results in an uneven ratio of educated girls to boys. The belief is that formal education is not as profitable as trading due to the huge graduate unemployment in Nigeria. There is now an attempt to sensitize the citizens of the importance of formal education. MRS.
