The launch was marked by a two-day conference held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Dar es Salaam on August 19 - 20, 2002. The conference was jointly organised by Economic and Social Research Foundation and Research on Poverty Alleviation to provide opportunity for national stakeholders to discuss, synthesize, and distill a national consensus on the perceptions of Tanzanians on globalisation, its socio-economic consequences, and suggested solutions and policy responses on globalisation. To continue the dialogue started on that day, ESRF is running a forum on the subject. To participate on the on going discussion forum please click the following link: Forum on Globalisation in Tanzania Anti-Corruption Forum Following the adaptation of the National Anti-corruption Strategy and Action Plans (NACSAP) the Government of Tanzania developed 26 action plans to support the implementation of the policy in the MDA s of the different sectors. The monitoring and assessment of the state of corruption is an important task in the fight against corruption. ESRF and FACEIT performed the Annual Report 2002 on the state of corruption in Tanzania. This report is in the printing process and will be available early January. A Swahili version is also in preparation. Actually the report can be downloaded from the Anti-Corruption Forum in Tzonline Online Gateway. For easier handling the report is segmented in four elements. The different Annexes with more detailed information are also accessible in the Anti-corruption Forum. Your opinion on the report is well appreciated as the monitoring will be annual task and the Internet Anticorruption Forum is ongoing.
