-------> [ENGLISH] AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION NOT REVISED FROM THE ORIGINAL IN french Thank you for the answer for Andrew Cunningham, It thus seems that the first technique that we had employed with files XML was not so bad after all! We thus will continue with this technique for the moment, because it is completely independent of the LOCALE., which arranges us for the moment. After all, files XML are also easily readable by the translators, because they can use Word to publish them. While passing, we use also API free named MiniXML (http://minixml.psychogenic.com/) which is very easy to use. But especially, which is marvellous it is that it translates automatically and in a completely transparent way all special characters of UTF-8 towards code HTML in form &xxx; corresponding. It thus avoids breaking the head with the posting of the special characters of our African languages! Finally, MiniXML functions starting from PHP4. I thus advise MiniXML with all! By hoping for an improvement in the operation of GETTEXT, or a new alternative allowing to better integrate our African languages in the future. Greetings, -- The Team Alf@net, Ousmane and Issa, Dakar, Senegal http://www.alfanet.anafa.org [ Notes of translation ] I did not really need to modify this message before dispatching it. Good travail! Seul note: l'expression "casser la tête" = "beat your head against the wall"[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next] [Date Index] [Thread Index] Last Updated: Sat Dec 15 18:10:19 2007 |
