[PAL-en] PAL: Update / Mise à jour

Here is a quick update on the PanAfrican Localisation (PAL or PanAfriL10n)
project.

1) The current PAL project will formally conclude at the end of March 2008.
The website and lists will continue to function and evolve. A new three year
project, tentatively dubbed "PanAfrican Localisation Network" (PALnet) is
under discussion. The new project is a result of work of the PAL project and
of the Localization Blitz in Marrakech last February. Dwayne Bailey of
Translate.org.za will lead this project, which will have several parts.

2) PAL project had its second workshop "PAL2" in Tshwane, South Africa (near
Pretoria) on 5-7 November. The main purpose was to discuss sustainability of
the results of the PAL project. A few of you were invited, but we also tried
to include people who had not participated in the previous PAL workshop in
Casablanca or the Blitz workshop in Marrakech - this helps us to widen the

3) Partly as a result of discussions at PAL2, the website will be developed
in some new ways. We will have more information on that soon.
