[Forward from PAL2 with minor changes to facilitate translation. .Don] I would encourage others to translate Pootle as Friedel has suggested (below). It will have long term benefits that are quite important for your language because more and more people are using Pootle to make software translation easier. -- Dwayne Bailey Translate.org.za +27-12-460-1095 (w) +27-83-443-7114 (cell) Hi Ousmane The current Wolof translation was done by somebody who took part in a localisation training workshop (in Accra earlier this year). It was the very first application that we worked on, and she translated it from French, not from English. Therefore I am not entirely surprised if it could be improved. You are free to update the translation at pootle.wordforge.org, and your updates will form part of the next release of .Pootle. If you log in, you should have access to translate the files simply and immediately. Perhaps you are interested in contacting the translator that did the current translations? She was very friendly and seemed really interested in localisation. I'll send her details privately to you. I can recommend that anybody who is interested work on translating Pootle into their languages. It is fairly easy to translate, and it gives immediate satisfaction since the interface becomes gradually translated as you work. Feel free to give it a try: http://pootle.wordforge.org/ If your language is not there, or there are no files listed for your language, you can write to me to add it. Keep well Friedel
