We agree with you at 100%, and your initiative is a significant
contribution to the promotion of Wolof and Sénégalaise culture, and
I do not hesitate to say development in general. Well few people can
today appreciate the impact which work will have that you make on the
level of Wikipédia.

The localization is not a play, it is imperative to respect the
language in which one translates, since the Internet is today one of
the vehicle of information and ideas of most important. One notes
today that some people had fun to begin the translation of software in
Wolof, they write our language anyhow, without respect for grammar,
the orthography and the worse still concept. The written form and
grammar wolof have been stable for more than 20 years, this kind of
thing is unacceptable: you have only to look at the translations of
Ubuntu, or of Google, or Pootle. Moreover, one data-processing lexicon
was published with the IFAN by professor Arame Fal, and it should
obligatorily be used as basic work with whoever wants to locate
software in wolof. We wish to work out a partnership with the CLAD
(Center of linguistics applied of Dakar) to make this lexicon more
complete and to make it available via the Internet as reference to all
those which wishes to locate in wolof.

This is why we make a point of greeting your effort, on our behalf,
and in the name of all the wolophones, for the quality of the work of
translation which you make on the level of Wikipédia. We must
acknowledge you that you are at present perhaps one of only which were
interested seriously in the problem of localization in wolof and to
write it correctly, and we would really wish to develop collaboration
with you.
