-------> [ENGLISH] AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION NOT REVISED FROM THE ORIGINAL IN french

Dear Marcel Diki-Kidiri,

Thank you infinitely for this proposal.

Within the framework of the OmegaT project I am responsible for the
user assistance and documentation. I am thus completely available to
ensure technical coordination and the assistance specific to your
project if that proved to be necessary.

OmegaT being a software intended for the translators for the
translation, we have a system of assumption of responsibility of the
translators which, has my opinion, is slightly higher than that of the
other groups of localization because we are (contributors) all
translators ourselves and we include/understand well the problems
associated with the tool and the task.

The localization of OmegaT can be done in several parts:

1) the minimal part consists in locating the interface, the tutoriel
and the file readme like creating a seizure of screen for the
tutoriel.

2) the following part consists in locating the user's manual

3) in last part we have official Internet site

The entirety of the files can be translated in OmegaT, it is
thus desirable that the translators familiarize themselves with the
tool by reading the tutoriel (available today in about fifteen
languages including English and French).

The handbook (which includes the tutoriel) is available on line to the
following address:
http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=61937&group_id=68187

There is a document on line indicating the procedure to launch
out in the translation, there is available at this address:
http://www.omegat.org/omegat/omegat_en/translation-info.html

I will kindly request to you to consult it yourself to have an
idea of the task.

When personal information, allow me to transmit them to you at your
personal address.

Very cordially,

Jean-Christophe Helary

Dear Jean-Christophe Helary

Your proposal is excellent and fall à.pic, because it enables
us to consolidate a shutter of the project "Voice and Texts" which I
am writing. Indeed, one could include in this project the localization
of the interface of the OmegaT software about of which you to speak to
us. That supposes that you agree to coordinate this shutter by placing
at the disposal of the participants the file of the messages to be
translated in each language (there will be a dozen of it
approximately) and ensuring the rehabilitation of the translations in
the software to generate the versions to locate. Thus, at the end of
the Voice project and Texts, of the versions of OmegaT located in
African languages will be ready with employment to allow the
translation of the corpora which we will have collected for the
project and others still!

If you agree, want to very send very quickly the infos to me which I
need por to include you in the project, namely:

Your complete address (postal, telephone and if possible fax)

Your institution of fastening (if necessary)

Your CV summary (a maximum page)

With soon, I hope!
