This is to inform you about the second National Conference on "Repositioning the Nigerian Youth for Effective Tomorrow's Leadership" scheduled to take place on the 19-20th September 2008 at the National War Museum, Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria. In our first conference which took place on the 21st October 2006 at the Aminu Kano Hall, Binez Hotels Limited, Aba, Abia State, participants from different parts of the country were present to witness lectures by professionals in different fields of endeavour. One of such speakers, Prof. Matthew Kuofie, the founder and CEO of Global Strategic Management Incorporation (GSMI), ICT expert and a business consultant, USA was present to deliver and challenge the Nigerian youth towards utilizing the unlimited opportunities in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in maximizing their well-being and the development of Nigeria as a whole. Other distinguished speakers were present including government officials, NGOs, and other corporate organizations. However, the Umuahia branch of CONYA has decided to launch the second edition at the state capital city. This time in National War Museum which houses relics of the Nigerian Civil War such as the warship, war planes, armored tankers, and other weapons making it the only war museum in Attached are the conference flyer, registration form and programme.
