Ladies and Gentlemen,
It happened again! For the third time, the African
Youth Foundation (AYF) is proud to inform those interested, about a successful
awards event.
On behalf of the AYF, let me extend my sincerest
gratitude to all those who were able to attend the AYF ADLER Entrepreneurship
Awards event, which was held on 1st December 2007 at then Maritim Hotel in
Bonn, Germany. The event was another success story and our intention to prove
to the youth and Africans in Diaspora that we acknowledge their efforts was
affirmative.
The first and only one of its kind to be held on
behalf of Africans in Germany
and partly Europe, the awards was meant to
motivate and acknowledge contributions of African Diasporas, who show the
greatest promise of contribution to human well-being, through the creation and
application of their activities, intellect, and knowledge.
The AYF was honoured to have special guests: His Excellency Dr. Makase
Nyaphisi, Kingdom of Lesotho Ambassador to
Germany, His Excellency Abdul-Kadir
Rimdap, Nigeria Ambassador to Germany; Mr. Martin J.
Wilde, Director of the Association of
Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU) and Chairman of the NRW-Ghana Forum; and Mr. Peter J. Croll, Director, Bonn
International Centre for Conversion; Germany. Also present were ministers and high ranking officials of some of
the Diplomatic Corps in Germany.
Many were also there to witness and applaud the few
who have contributed to the uplifting of the
African image in Europe.
In a nutshell, the crème de la crème of African Diasporas participated in this
memorable event again.

Ladies and Gentlemen, as Africans, and especially
Africans in Germany
and in the Diaspora, we have come a long way to accept and identify ourselves
as talented, dependable and steadfast citizens of the
world. It took us time to acknowledge our *OWN*, but it was never too late. The
foundation is now well constructed and the solid domicile is gradually being
built on it. Nothing is really IMPOSSIBLE!
The positive images of our dear continent Africa is now the responsibility of all of us. There is
time for everything, and the African Diaspora time is NOW! The success and
acknowledgement of this initiative depends on us all.
The coordinating team of the African Youth Foundation,
are very grateful for this attendance and look forward to meeting all
interested participants again in December 2008 in Germany.
Further information and winners pictures will be
available on our website soon at: www.ayf.de
Stay tuned!
With warm regards
