be highly appreciated.

Your kind assistance in excusing me from this debate will indeed be highly

Dear Comrades,

I want to appreciate everyone for their effortless contributions to the current
issue making round on the internet. Many have spoken their minds, while others
are still watching to see how elites in this forum analysis important, but
sensitive issue as it affect our dear Africans and the continent at large.

While many have contributed meaningfully to the present discuss, I am, however
amazed that quite a reasonable proportion of members in this forum analyze
issues subjectively as against the background of objective analysis, this forum
upholds. I think we are quick at leaving substance to pursue shadow. If I am
right, the current issue is about somebody who enters into an agreement with
South African Embassy. This bond (with borrowed money) according to the
gentleman is required by the SA embassy and this money is meant to be refunded
upon the fulfillment of the terms of agreement and not otherwise. This person
had stated clearly that haven satisfied his obligation of the agreement, the SA
embassy continue to hold on to his money, perhaps borrowed from the bank at a
high cost. To me, the issue is very clear to the understanding of an ordinary
person.

Surprisingly, instead of members of this forum to reason on how to investigate
the matter and make sure justice is done where necessary, many are quick at
analyzing history far from the subject matter. The question at the moment is
not whether West Africans, and indeed Nigerians have questionable character,
but it is all about justice. Any thing could happen to any person from the
continent and one of the responsibilities of this forum is to ensure justice
and not to compound things for the “innocents”. How to ensure justice should be
the concern of members as it relates to this issue and not the other way round.
Two wrongs can not make a right. Nigerians have questionable character is not
enough for SA embassy to go against the terms of agreement entered with her
client from Nigeria.

For some of us good at history, we must be ready to tell the two sides of the
coin. Nigeria has being using tax payers’ money to champion peace in Africa.
The government has been involved in sending aid to other African countries. Of
course the country has being consistently sending peace keepers to other
African countries. Nigerian professors are in different parts of Africa
educating others under the sponsorship of Nigerian government. The finances of
these programmes are coming from tax payers’ money and the generation from
resources meant for her citizens to enjoy. Like I said before, those good at
telling tales must be ready to tell the two sides of the coin.

On the issue at hand, the present challenge before this forum is to investigate
what actually transpired between the gentleman and the SA embassy, and finds
way to ensure justice.

This discussion is getting very funny and extending to other issues.
Ordinarily, I would have allowed Odhiambo's comment pass by, but to clear some
issues he is not in grasp with. I don't want to be as impolite as he is nor
join issues with him. I was in Kenya for three weeks, on a tour. I was warned
from the onset that Nairobi (Nairobbery) could be as dangerous as SA in terms
of robbery. That tells you how dangerous Kenyans are.

I visited the most horrifying slum on earth (Kibera) where Pigs and Human being
struggle for a space. The life in Kibera is one that no one would ever in
his/her wildest dream imagine, yet the people live and mutiply there in
millions. Yes, they are happy to be there, but obviously unaware of the health
risks.

Well for kenyans its a normal way of life.

Let me also, not in defense of my country but to correct the impression that
Nigerian are known as fraudsters. If people like you and the rest of those
greedy gluttons who would like to convert what does not belong to them are not
there perhaps,419 as it called in Nigeria would have not been an issue. ANYBODY
THAT FALL FOR THEM IS ALSO DUBIOUS
.
It is very uncivilized for anyone to talk the way my friend from Kenya in
defence of his country is talking. We are only talking about issues, and not
attacking people, it depicts his insensibility of what happens at the airport
and he has no right to talk about a country that has done so much for the world.

If we must change our world as youths, then we better stop looking and talking
of a Country like that.

Nigeria has done so much for the rest of African, including thousands of our
soldiers that die in peace keeping, not to talk about our extra budgets to help
other countries, against the wish of the poor people in Nigeria.

I will like the moderator to filter some of these contributions to avoid
confrontations.

Dear Nduka,

I think your reaction is normal but I have the impression that you didn't get
me correctly in my first email relating to this issue.

I'm not supporting the all kind of harassment and treatments the Nigerians
colleagues are raising in the visa process to the SA Embassy. The point I was
making was that we need to adress it in using both the virtual community and
diplomatic bodies to correct it once for even. Do you think the simple fact to
reimburse the deposit will change this situation ? I'm not quiet sure !

So we need to adress this issue as an Africa issue and find the best way to
collect other exemples from the different countries and definitly send a Memo
to the SA Goverment. This can mobilize their South Africa Immigration policy
and the other countries abusing our rights to move freely around the continent.

I hope we should look to ourselves as one community and work together to adress
common issues in the same spirit.

I hope this has been clearer then it was before.

Kind wishes
