yes Mathematics is important. It helps a person build logic. Infact not just
IT, mathematics is important in every field. Getting free computers is the
beginning If Africa wants to produce IT specialists in future then they
should start teaching children the basics of computer science along with
mathematics and science. That would require good faculty, good books.

Not only mathematics as other science domains is related to IT. But IT is
also related to mathematics. Computers are still mainly built to solve many
mathematical problems. The challenge today is to develop (new) mathematical
skills for computers. Thus youth Africans need to introduce a large part of
mathematics in their curriculum to make a very significant contribution in
IT today and in the future.

I think the problem is not as portrayed, this because the set structures are
not capacitated enough to handle complex network of individuals. Take a
situation where even when individuals are capacitated enough , they don't
find the forum to express their talents.

secondly where individuals put self interest in place of their jobs or
talents. I believe the major problem is the self retreating action of
Africans and front liners in executing their talents. 

  The ability of Africans to handle what they like and not what they can do
cannot be better compromised with their performance.
