which to start a directory.

Today was a great day in Tanzania whereby various stakeholders from various 
sectors endorsed the constitution and road map of the Tanzania Free and 
OpenSource Software Association (TAFOSSA).

The event was organized the Commission for Science and Technology with the 
assistance of the University Computing Centre Ltd (A company owned by the 
University of Dar es Salaam).

Among other things TAFOSSA is expected to: 
   
   - Promote Free and Open Source Software for Affordable Access, Choice 
   and Empowerment 
   - Build Local ICT Skills, Capacity and Content through the Use of Free 
   and Open Source Software 
   - Quantify and Enhance the Economic Benefits offered by Free and Open 
   Source Software
   - Develop and Support the Community of Local Free and Open Source 
   Software Users and 
   - Foster the Development of a Tanzanian Free and Open Source Software 
   Community
